For my son that’s first grade

We are looking for a tutor for our 7-year-old son, based in Central Portugal (approx. 30 minutes from Coimbra).

Our goal is to support his development across core subjects – especially Portuguese, basic mathematics, and general academic foundations – at a level that aligns with standard school expectations for his age.

He already speaks fluent English, has a basic understanding of Portuguese, and is familiar with simple math (addition and subtraction).

Important – learning style:
Our son is very energetic and curious, but also easily distracted and can struggle to maintain focus for longer periods. Traditional "sit still and listen" teaching methods do not work well for him.

We are therefore specifically looking for someone who:
- Uses engaging, interactive, and dynamic teaching methods
- Can adapt quickly and keep sessions varied and stimulating
- Understands how to work with children who need a more active and flexible approach
- Is patient, creative, and good at capturing and maintaining attention

This is not a good fit for strictly traditional or rigid teaching styles.

Format:
- We are open to both online and in-person, but expect most sessions to be online
- Online sessions will work well if they are engaging and well-structured

Language:
- Portuguese is preferred
- Basic English is a strong advantage (for communication and support)

Other:
- Flexible schedule
- Open regarding pricing depending on experience and fit

We are looking for someone who can either:
1) Teach him directly, or
2) Help guide us as parents in supporting his learning
